Up until today things have gone pretty textbook perfect with my four previous NSTs. Unfortunately, that was not the case today. I was having some fairly regular contractions while being monitored and apparently the baby was not reacting the way they hoped she would. They said it wasn't too bad but they're sending me for a Biophysical Profile first thing tomorrow morning. This, at it's most basic, is an ultrasound where they look for flexing of the limbs to check muscle tone, movement of the torso, breathing movements, and amniotic fluid levels along with another NST.
If she passes then we'll continue to do NSTs weekly at the Peri's office rather than two a week at the OB's. If not, they could go ahead and induce or do a C-section. As ready as I am to meet her, I really hope everything is okay!
It sounds like they are just being super careful. At the very least you get another peek at her tomorrow =) Hope everything goes great, please KUP!
